In this section, you will open the mail on an Android device and proceed

Kindly follow the simple steps and you will see how easy it is to set up a Firebase App Distribution.

Step 1: Open the mail on an Android device

Click the “Allow” button to proceed

Choose an email to sign in to Firebase using your mobile device

Click the “ Sign in with Google” and sign in with the email address you used in applying for App testing.

Step 2: Download Firebase App Tester

Click the check box to give Firebase consent and click the “Accept Invitation

Click the Accept invitation button it will take you to the screen where you can download Firebase App Tester to your Android device

Click the Download button to download the Firebase App Tester to your Android device

Click “OK”

Check your notification for the downloaded app or search in the file explorer and locate the download folder. install it

Click the INSTALL BUTTON

Click the Allow button to accept the terms of service of the Firebase App Distribution

Click on the project to access it

Click on the Download to download the project in your tester app

Click on the INSTALL button to install the project in your tester app and also on the device too.

Click INSTALL ANYWAY to proceed, anyways the reason this dialog came up is that you didn't download the app from the play store so Google play protect is not sure if the app has malicious content or not.

It's not advisable to download Android apps outside Google Play Store, because all apps are scanned and free of malware, so its highly recommended to download only from Google Play Store.

Click ALLOW

If you click the allow button, Google Play Protect will trust this source that built the App Tester.

Click Open to see the app

Now the app is on the user's device ready for testing.

anytime you push new changes, they will just go to the App Tester Android app on their device and open it.

I would say that Android developers now have their own Test Flight

If you go to the firebase platform and you will see that the invited is 1, Accepted is 1, and the downloaded also is 1.
this shows the app developer that the tester has accepted and downloaded the Android app.

Congratulation you can now share your signed APK with secure testers.

All Thanks to the Frank van Puffelen and the rest of the Firebase Team for this awesome feature.
